Scrappin' in the City Team Chicks

Scrappin' in the City wouldn't be what it is without the support of our fantastic staff! Please allow us to introduce them to you!

Amanda

You've probably seen her layouts hanging around the store or scrapped with her at a crop... Amanda is a past design team member and is a busy mother of 2 little boys. She was a teacher before becoming a stay-at-home mom and she's been teaching a few classes at the City lately.  Now, you will get to see her working the store as our resident 'Tuesday/Thursday' Chick as she gets to spend a little "me" time away from those adorable little boys.

Carla
Carla moved to New York for grad school at UT. During the weekday she teaches 1st grade and calls her class her “kids.” She and her husband have three kids and are always on the go. They are always the subject of her layouts. Carla loves to take pictures and often has 700+ pictures to edit at a time. Her “must haves” for scrapbooking are: Sticky Thumb adhesive, Mister Huey’s Calico Mist, her Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher, acrylic stamps, twine, and journaling cards..all kinds!  A favorite paper line? She likes them all! So come by on a Saturday when Carla is working. She loves to help customers find papers and embellishments to go with the pictures they bring into the store!

Lou is a newly wed and comes to us from Michigan but quickly found her home at the City. When she's not scrapbooking and making cards, she likes to play with ceramic tiles. You're most likely to see Lou working the front desk at the City so stop by and say hi!

Tonya
Hello, I'm Tonya Beason, I am married with 2 precious little girls, who I love with all of my heart. Their ages are 8 and 2. So when I'm not working at Blackmon Pediatrics, I'm a busy mom like most mainly taking my girls to dance or church activities. Photography is my first love but scrapbooking is my "me time."

SITC has been my favorite store since their opening day. I'm excited to become a City Chick with Sara's team.  I have thought of how to describe my scrapping style but that's hard. I usually just start with a picture or paper I love and keep adding embellishments until it looks like enough and then add a little more. I love flowers, buttons, Stickles and anything with bling. I mainly let the paper guide me. Let's start something new..hope to see u at the crops/store!

Trish

Most of you already know and love Trish. She's been with us for atleast 2 years & has become known as 'the Wednesday chick' and her pages in the store are rated as "most scraplifted".

When she's not at the City, she's teaching Spanish to a homeschool group, or working at the Preschool, or staying at home with her 2 boys. We're amazed she can keep up with it all!!! She teaches regular classes at the City and is also a Stampin Up demonstrator. We don't know what we'd do without her!!

Scrappin' in the City Design Team Spring 2012

We are so proud of our new group of city chicks. They each have their own style and something different that they bring to our store. Together they help to make up Scrappin’ In The City. Without them...our store would not be the same!!! So, take some time to get to know them and be sure to check out their galleries of work on our Flickr page - we’re sure you’ll be inspired and fall in love with them like we did.

Amy Coulter
Hi, I’m Amy Coulter. I will be turning the big 3-0 as a City Chick!! I am married to my handsome high school sweetheart, Eric Coulter, who is my rock! I am blessed to be able to work from home and stay with my two beautiful children, Bryce (2 months shy of 4 years), and Hailey (18 months). Juggling house chores, raising children, and working from home, I usually like to do anything away from the house that I can except on rainy days when I enjoy nothing more than snuggling with my hubby and two kiddos on the couch to watch a movie. I’m a sucker for Facebook and Pinterest! I enjoy snow skiing, cooking, fashion, home décor, lake days in the summer, and most of all SCRAPBOOKING!! I love cherishing all the moments caught on camera in a way that my creative my mind can go wild to tell a story. I’m looking so forward to serving Scrappin’ in the City over the next 6 months…see you at The City!
Beverly Clemmer
I am married and the mother of 3 adult children (2 in college, 1 married and living in the UK) and the grandmother of one with another one due in June!  Sara started me out scrapbooking right after she opened in her first tiny store, and I fell in love with the craft.  I have bins full of old family photos that I am working my way through and quickly found my vintage-y style.  (After all, I was a history major as an undergrad ;) )  I have recently added cardmaking and enjoy it as a way to try out a new technique on a smaller scale.  Some health issues keep me inside most of the time, but scrapbooking gives me a great outlet.  I am really excited to be on the design team and am really looking forward to it.
Dixie Cravens
My best friend introduced me to stamping in 2003, and I was instantly hooked on paper crafting! In 2008 I bought my Cricut Expression and my crafting world exploded (as did my need for crafting space!). I am a card maker...that is what fits in my life at this time. I have 5 beautiful children, all home schooled, ranging in age from 17 years old (just took her across country to college in January) to 3 years old (my constant companion in the craft room). Most of my crafting time happens in stolen moments and late at night. Instead of a man cave, our house has "mom's cave", and it is where I recharge and rejuvenate with paper, glue, glitter, and cartridges! My name is Dixie Cravens and I am a paper addict!
Heather Poston
I am a stay-at-home mommy of 2 beautiful children.  My boy, Knox, is 31/2 (he makes me add the 1/2) and my girl, Harper is 1.  I have been married for 8 years to my best friend.  I grew up in Bristol, so I have a little redneck side to me :)  I started college at UT and during my sophmore year I met Brian, my husband, got married, moved to North Carolina, and graduated from NCSU with a degree in textiles.  We have been back in Knoxville for 5 years.  I am active in my church with bible study and a mommy's group.  Needless to say, my life is so much better than I ever expected and being part of the design team just adds more sparkle to it.
Jonna Hutchinson
I'm Jonna and I've been here in Knoxville for almost 2 years (WOW, already???) I have been scrapbooking since before it was called scrapbooking!  I have 13 albums filled with pages from community theater that I was involved in in Orange County California for many years. They were my favorite things to scrap. Now I am here in East Tennessee to watch my 4 amazing nieces, ages 2-1/2 to 8, grow up, and now most of what I do is of and for my girls, my new favorite scrap subjects!!!

I am looking forward to being on the Design Team here @ SITC and meeting and working with my fellow DT members! Thanks, Sara!!!

Love and Blessings always, ~Jonna
Teresa Settle
I am excited to have been choosen for the DT. I am married, mother of one daughter (who steals all the stuff I make) and grandmother of two beautiful grandaughters. I work for a very busy Urology group, so scrappin is my stress release. I starting scrapping at SITC...went in one day looking for a gift for a friend, Sara helped me with the project and the rest is history. Oh, by the way my best friend is addicted now too.  I like different styles of scrappin, my favorite is vintage and mixed media.  You will see different styles, I hope you like them.  I always like to learn from everyone---Can't wait!!
