New Goodies

Scrappin In the City - Saturday, April 28, 2012
Hey there from the City Chick Mountain Retreat!!  We're scrappin' away on our last night :(  So sad its almost over!

New goodies in the store:

Action Wobbles.  These are the simplest invention but are really cool!  They are a spring-style pop dot!  So you can pop up any item or embellishment for that added dimension, but then it also wiggles!  ...or wobbles, lol.  Another feature is it is virtually flat...so that means no extra postage when mailing that fun card!!
Its hard to 'see the wobble' in a photo, but here's one that DT member Jonna made -

Also, we've gotten BoBunny instock in the last week.
Alora has been really popular and we reordered the embellishments too!
Here's a really cool layout made by our rep Sabrina.  She even used the Lucky 8 punch to make the circle base :)

Also, new by BoBunny is Serenity...

Finally Restocked:
Fairy Dust by Donna Salazar

The fine glitter is truly dust-like and so fun to use in the adorable salt shakers :)

Also restocked (lots of restocking this week!)
Elizabeth Crafts glitters and tapes and stickers and even new dies

Isn't it beautiful?!  In person, the glitter is amazing...
Be sure to check out our new classes that have been posted too!!  New glitter classes, Scrappin' Clubs, Stamp-a-Stacks and more...

Hope you are having a great weekend and see you at the store soon!
Toodles,
Sara

A Class filled Saturday

Scrappin In the City - Thursday, April 19, 2012

Saturday, April 24th we will be holding 2 different classes offering many new techniques.

The first is listed as, Mother's Day I LOVE YOU and will begin at 11.  In this class you will make a chipboard album for the special "mom" in your life.  You will learn how to cover a plan piece of chipboard and turn it into beautiful gift.  You will also use different stamps, buttons, and ribbon.  Let's face it we all know how special these hand made gifts filled with pictures can touch a "mother's" heart.

The second class will begin at 2:00. It is titled Spring Poppy Mini Album.  In this class you will use the very popular Authentique line, Gathering.  This line flew out the door so if you missed your chance to snatch some,  come in and learn how to use that paper to fold  it in such a way that creates a unique photo album.  This album is filled with tags, pull out pages, and di cut edges.  You will also learn to create a flower using ribbon and glubers.

You can find pictures of both classes under the class tab on our website. Click on the individual class to view them.  Then, call me to be added to the class list.

Hope to see you Saturday

Good Day Sunshine

Scrappin In the City - Tuesday, January 17, 2012

Good Day Sunshine is the new line from We R Memory Keepers, not the weather here at the City.  (man it's cold).  This line screams spring and warmth to me.  We have 7 papers with great floral print, 2 stamp options, chipboard stickers, and fabulous coordinating ribbon to offer with this line.

We have added many new classes to our class/events tab...so make sure to check them out.  We also have a couple spots still available for Saturday's crop.  If  you call and prepay by tomorrow you will save 5 dollars.  We will gladly take your payment over the phone.

You may also want to check out our Scrappin Club that will meet next Tuesday at 6.  You will bring only your basic craft kit and leave with 6 completed pages and the knowledge of many new techniques.

A friendly reminder that deadline for design team submissions is the end of the month.  We just ask that you turn in 3 projects none of which need to be current papers or even papers from our store.  Your projects will be returned to and the new design team will be announced the first week of February.

Happy Scrappin

Classes & Crops & More

Scrappin In the City - Monday, November 14, 2011

Make sure to check out our Holiday calendar and celebrate with the City Chicks.  We're busy planning a fun season ahead...full of classes, cropping, techniques and more!!  I'm finalizing the details of our City Chicks Open House for Dec. 3 full of make-n-takes and mini-classes and I'm also finishing up plans for our first ever Hubby Night.  Be thinking what you want to add to your Wish List at the City.  Will it be the new Tim Holtz Distress Inks?  the new Silhouette Cameo??  a Retreat with the City Chicks for 2012?  Whatever it may be... we'll help you get it for Christmas :)

We're also busy adding classes throughout the holidays for your gift-giving needs.  There are some fun classes being offered and they give you a chance to step away from the holiday madness and make something with your hands.

I've even picked some fun themes for our upcoming crops (& decided on the menus!).  Make sure to schedule some time for you and your crafting hobbies during the season to help with the sanity :)  I promise we'll have a good time!

Hopefully, I can sleep a few hours now...since I've atleast started finalizing the Holiday Calendar...ahhh!

Maya Road

Scrappin In the City - Tuesday, October 25, 2011

We got a great little shipment of Maya Road goodies today that you may want to grab for up coming Christmas gifts.  The kraft calendar months and season chipboard would be awesome for mini calendars for the upcoming year.  We also got 4 rolls of the flower trim ribbon that went so quickly the last time in the store.  Two were a fall green and orange and the other two were white and crimson red.   So come by and check out these great Maya Road products.

One other little note: Sara’s recipe class is Thursday night and there are class spots available as well as take home kits with instructions. These would make great Christmas gifts.
