Design Team Call

Scrappin In the City - Monday, July 05, 2010

It's hard to believe that yet another Design Team's commitmentis almost over! I am sure that you have been as impressed and inspired as we have by the projects our design team has submitted these past months. We will be very sad to see them go at the end of July but can't wait to see what the next team will bring!

So now it's YOUR turn!We arelooking for 4 new design team members to have their pages, cards and altered items displayed in our store. This again willbe a 6 month commitment and in return you will receive a 20% discount in the store, and free crops for the length of your membership as well as some other fun perks.

Interested? Here's what you need to do.

Drop off at the store at least 5 items that you think represent your style- cards, scrapbook pages, altered items - anything you can make with scrapbook supplies -along with a photo and short bio telling us about yourself by Thursday July 22nd. A decision will be made on the new design team by Monday July 26th and your design team membership will begin August 1st.

Questions? Don't hesitate to call and ask. We can't wait to see what you have to offer!

And......we're done!!

Scrappin In the City - Friday, July 02, 2010
We did it!!! We made it!!! We counted it ALL, we checked it off the list, and then we put it all back (in different places of course - you know us....) along with the new stuff. And after a loooooonnnnngggg week and a lot of help from our friends (thanks Debby, Carla, Audra and Sara's mom) we get to have a few days off and relax! Hope you all have a wonderful and safe 4th July weekend and we'll see you next week!

Oh you wanted to know what the new stuff is????

Well....... we got in some Bo Bunny, We R Memory Keepers, Prima and Cosmo Cricket. More lines coming in next week. You'll just have to come in and see!

Still counting.....

Scrappin In the City - Wednesday, June 30, 2010

We're still here...............

We're still counting..................

We're ALMOST done!!!!!!!!!!!!

Boxes have started arriving :)

Back to the counting...........

PHEW!!

Scrappin In the City - Saturday, June 26, 2010
What a week we've had! You guys have been awesome in helping us clear off our shelves - there are empty paper trays everywhere!!! Today is the last day for you to take advantage of our great specials and when the doors close tonight, the counting begins........1,2,3,4,5,6........... So send some good vibes our way next week and we are keeping our fingers crossed that we can get this job done before the end of next week and hopefully have some days off!! You'll have to excuse us if the blog is a little quiet while all the counting is going on but we are planning to open with a big bang and a store full of new goodies Monday 5th.

July is a big month in the scrapbooking world as CHA is at the end of the month so all the companies are coming out with all the fall and winter lines. We've had a few sneak peaks and they are AWESOME!!! They'll probably start shipping mid Aug but a few companies are releasing them in the next few weeks so we're getting them in as they become available.

Don't forget to sign up for our Christmas in July classes and get a jump start on your cards and gifts. Believe me when December rolls around you'll be glad you did! I finished up a 2011 Calendar class last night (can you believe it - 2011!!!) and when the Techno Chick arrives with her fancy camera she'll post it on the website for me. Don't worry we will be having more Christmas classes in Nov/Dec but it's nice to get a few of them done ahead of time. :)

Have a great weekend!

Another Christmas project

Scrappin In the City - Wednesday, June 23, 2010
I can not even tell you how happy I am to have made this album!!!!!!!! Christmas is MY holiday. It's THE one that I get excited about. I love the whole process - the decorating, the baking, making and/or buying the perfect gift for every person on my list. I love to watch the kids opening their presents and hear the squeal of delight that comes from the perfect gift. I love the lights (and I love how my husband puts them up just because he knows I love them...). I love the smell of the fresh cut tree. I love how everyone seems to be connected that time of the year - like we're all in this one big party together....... anyway... on to the project....
I saw Ali Edwards do her December Daily two years ago on her blog and each year the time got away from me and I never got it done but I am SOOOOO happy that THIS is the year!

Presenting........

single pages, they'll coordinate and you'll go home with 4 projects
done!! We will use a variety of punches, Cuttle Bug embossing plate, rubons and more!! Come join in the fun and complete a great set of layouts!

New kids class and more..

Scrappin In the City - Thursday, June 17, 2010
I finished another kid's class and it's on the books for July - keep those kids busy!!! It's got plenty of room for journaling as well as pictures. You want photos of it???? Yeah well you know I'm great at forgetting to bring my camera so just as soon as Sara gets the pics on the website you'll be able to see it. :) But it's super cute (even if I do say so myself) - just shy of a 6x6 and packed with 17 pages for the kids to fill!

We're busy planning our Christmas in July - Trish is working her magic with her fabulous designer cards and I'm working on a stamp-a-stack and have 2 other projects in my head that I need to find the time to get out!

We've got some of American Craft's beautiful "I Do" line in - the small prints make it perfect for card makers but with the soft blues and pinks and greens it's pretty for all the girly pages you have to do.

Sara has made a hot new class you're gonna love but she'll give you the details on that tomorrow.

Stay cool!!

Thickers numbers!!

Scrappin In the City - Tuesday, June 15, 2010
Are you always needing an extra "2" or just one more "0"??? Well now you will never run out again!!! Just in today - brand new - American Crafts Thickers numbers! You get at least 7 of every number - more of those important 0's,1's & 2's. We have them in three different fonts (Sprinkles, Roller Rink, and Tinsel) and four different colors (white, black, green and red) - with more on the way. Whether it's birthdays, your favorite player's number, your top 5 or top 10, or the number of times you've said "would you please QUIT THAT!" to your kids already this summer......(or is that just me?) there is sure to be one for every layout you need. So stop by and grab some before they're gone!
